At POA, we believe that all voices can and should be heard, regardless of seniority or tenure. Position We are seeking a Field Network Technician to join our service team in the Pleasanton, CA area. Compensation $20-24/hr. DOE Required Skills/Knowledge Knowledge of network connectivity, network security and Wi‑Fi networks. Good understanding of Windows server environment and common operating systems. Ability to work with a variety of customers and vendors (some technical some non‑technical). Ability to lead clients through discovery phase (asking the right questions). Aggressive problem solver. Ability to travel locally to different clients. Ability to communicate through phone / email / written documentation. Qualifications Previous network field experience. Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (SMTP, FTP, SMB, Ports, TCP/IP). Knowledge and hands‑on experience providing support to users using Windows Desktop Operating Systems and other mainstream Microsoft applications. Strong communication skills and ability to work cohesively with clients. Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record. Bonus Skill Set Good understanding of Mac OS environment.
