About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapy services to students in a pediatric, school-based setting in the Red Hook / Rhinebeck, NY area.

This full-time position is ideal for a licensed PTA with previous school-based pediatric experience who enjoys helping students improve their mobility, independence, and ability to participate successfully in the school environment.

You'll work collaboratively with physical therapists, educators, and other professionals while providing direct treatment and maintaining accurate documentation for your assigned caseload.

What You'll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments to students according to established plans of care
• Assist with collecting data to evaluate student progress and individual needs
• Complete required PTA documentation, progress notes, and status reports accurately and on time
• Provide input regarding school-based adaptations that may improve student participation and mobility
• Collaborate with physical therapists, educators, and other members of the student support team
• Participate in required training and maintain compliance with applicable professional and school standards
• Follow established treatment plans, documentation requirements, and best practices
• Maintain a student-centered approach while supporting individual therapy goals

What You'll Bring

• Active New York State Physical Therapist Assistant License
• 2+ years of school-based pediatric PTA experience required
• Experience working directly with children in a therapeutic or educational environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
