Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN The organization is seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join the team at a leading healthcare facility. The role involves providing advanced critical care to pediatric patients from newborn to 21 years old, with complex medical and surgical diagnoses, in a Level 1 designated Burn, Trauma, and Eye Center setting. Job Details: Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid RN license; BLS; PALS; at least 2 years of current experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU); 0 years minimum experience required. Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week. Responsibilities include managing patients with respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, multiorgan failure, shock, toxic ingestions, ECMO, and ventricular assist devices; performing procedures related to extensive general, cardiac, thoracic surgeries, transplants, orthopedic, and neurologic procedures; administering continuous infusions, intermittent medications (Narcotics, vasopressors, diuretics, PN/IL), IVP, PCAs, PO, GT/JT. Additional Information: Previous employment with any Johns Hopkins system facility must be noted on the coversheet and in the work history. Candidates must have at least one full year before applying as a traveler if previously employed in any capacity at Johns Hopkins facilities. Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, experience with EPIC Unit. Float: Float rotation may be required.
