The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a "get it done" mentality who can effectively coordinate with executive management, field staff, owners, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.At Cycle Construction, we treat our employees like family and believe our team-based approach is the foundation for delivering high-quality construction services to our community and beyond.We Offer:Competitive salary (based on experience)Paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)Medical, dental, disability, and life insurance401(k) with company matchGrowth opportunities within a stable, respected companyA team-based, family-style environment where employees are valuedWork Includes:Managing multiple construction projects from pre-construction through completionDeveloping and implementing project control processesManaging project budgets, including production rates, cost performance, anticipated profit, and budget variancesDeveloping project schedules and work orders with appropriate cost codesCoordinating subcontracts, sublet requests, insurance requirements, and related documentationParticipating in pre-construction conferences and project kickoff activitiesPreparing initial project correspondence, including start intentions, notices, and project contactsMaintaining RFC logs and tracking requests, changes, and project documentationManaging day-to-day project issues, correspondence, plan changes, and other project communicationsLeading weekly job-site meetings covering safety, production, budget, schedule, and project issuesParticipating in monthly owner/engineer meetings focused on schedule, processes, and project issuesKeeping project schedules current and communicating schedule changes to the appropriate stakeholdersReviewing monthly invoices for approval and preparing monthly revenue projectionsCoordinating and completing post-construction activities, including outstanding issues, correspondence, and plan changesCompleting project financial reviews and supporting overall project profitabilityWorking closely with executive management and field staff to drive production, schedule, safety, and budget performancePromoting and supporting a proactive safety culture by leading by exampleBuilding strong working relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teamsJob RequirementsMinimum 2 years of project management experience in the construction industryBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferredKnowledge of construction practices, project management, procurement, contract administration, insurance, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocationAbility to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and contract documentsExperience with civil and/or marine construction is a plusStrong mathematical aptitude and financial awarenessExcellent organizational, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookComfortable using tablets and construction technology, including iPadExperience with project management and scheduling software is a plusExperience with HCSS Heavy Bid, HCSS Heavy Job, ProCore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or Trimble Earthworks is a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlinesAbility to travel locally to project sites as neededFlexibility to work extended hours or days when project demands require itValid driver's licenseValid TWIC cardAbility to pass applicable drug testing, physical, and pre-employment screeningsCycle Construction is a leader in civil and marine construction throughout South Louisiana.
