Research associate

* Work with the Principal Investigator (PI) to develop and conduct a research project in technical AI safety.* Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of research activities related to technical AI safety.* Co-supervise a group of graduate students and undergraduate research assistants involved in technical AI safety research.* Provide guidance and support to students and research assistants throughout the research project.* Collaborate with the PI and research team to advance the project's research objectives.* Research experience* Refereed publications in mathematics and machine learning.* PhD in Mathematics or a related field.* Postdoc experience* Experience supervising groups of graduate students in fields such as Artificial intelligence and Mathematics.***Before applying, please note that to work at McGill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.******McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.
