Job Title: Enterprise Data Governance Consultant
Location: Tennessee / State Government
Duration: Contract
Key Responsibilities:-
- Develop and implement data governance strategies, roadmaps, charters, RACI, policies, and operating models .
- Facilitate data governance meetings, workshops, steering committees, and stakeholder sessions .
- Support AI governance, privacy, security, compliance, data classification, risk, and responsible AI initiatives.
- Conduct data governance maturity assessments and develop gap-remediation plans.
- Support data ownership, stewardship, metadata, business glossaries, data quality, data inventories, lineage, and governance artifacts .
- Develop and deliver training, presentations, job aids, FAQs, communications, and change-management materials .
- Engage business, technology, privacy, security, legal, compliance, and executive stakeholders.
- Track governance metrics, issues, decisions, action items, and audit evidence .
Required Skills:-
- Strong Enterprise Data Governance / Data Management experience.
- Stakeholder engagement, facilitation, change management, training, and communications .
- Knowledge of data stewardship, metadata, data quality, data lifecycle, data classification, data catalogs, and governance frameworks .
- Experience translating complex technical/governance concepts into executive-ready documentation .
- Understanding of AI governance, privacy, risk, and compliance .
Preferred: Public-sector/state government experience; DAMA-DMBOK, NIST AI RMF, CDMP, Prosci, PMP, CISA, CIPM or related experience/certifications.
