Job Description

As a Security Officer Experienced Retail Standing Post in BRIDGEPORT CT you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with customers staff and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients customers and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location including sales areas entrances parking areas and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and visitor activity reporting suspicious conditions policy concerns and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following site procedures and documenting activities as required.
• Support a professional retail environment by providing directions assisting with customer concerns and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
