Job Description

The Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) oversees daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing and effective inventory management. Leading a small team of 1-5 staff members, the PIC supervises personnel while providing patient counseling to promote safe and effective medication use. The role occasionally involves participation in community outreach and patient education programs to enhance public health awareness.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately and safely
Manage pharmacy inventory to maintain optimal stock levels
Supervise and support a small team of pharmacy staff
Provide counseling to patients on medication usage and safety
Participate occasionally in community outreach and patient education programs

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in pharmacy practice
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
Licensed Pharmacist
Skilled in inventory control
Effective patient communication
Strong attention to detail
Team leadership abilities
