Supervisor Logistics Operations

Purpose:The Supervisor – Logistics Operations, will provide leadership and supervision for all Operational activities including: IB receiving, storage, inventory, movement and OB shipping of products, materials, supplies and equipment. This individual will focus on providing excellent customer service and general support to the stores serviced by the Distribution Center.Minimum Eligibility Requirements:Two to four years of relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred and experience leading a team of 10 or more direct reportsProven track record of delivering results, managing processes, and continuous improvementExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsWorking knowledge of warehouse safety rules strongly preferredMust possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressureStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office SuiteWarehouse Management System experience preferredAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently, and/or within a team, across all levels and diverse cultures, and the ability to lead team projectsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsMust pass pre-employment background checkEssential Job Functions:Supervise a team of 10 or more employees and their workflow to ensure maximum service levels are maintained.Participate in reviews, performance management and recognition for employees.Coach, train, and mentor Distribution Center (DC) team members in the areas of productivity, quality, and safety.Update reports for warehouse use and manage teams’ performance.Manage Inbound and Outbound Coordinators for planning and execution purposes.Handle and resolve conflict, process team member requests, engage team members proactively and lead team building activities.Operate powered lift equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methodsComply with OSHA and MSDS StandardsEnsure efficient warehouse flow and planning of daily task activitiesMaintain clean, safe, efficient work environmentOther duties may be assigned as appropriate and in accordance with business needsWorking Conditions (travel & environment)This position is hourly, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week. Working hours are subject to change due to business needs and working am and/or pm flexible shifts.Occasional travel required including air and car travelWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTSMedium Work – Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
