NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering specialized nursing care to critically ill newborns. You will work in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive care to patients born with a variety of conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neonatal patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create effective care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients regularly to identify any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate and support families regarding care plans and neonatal procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with healthcare regulations.

Work Schedule

This position involves working 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts per week. Weekend shifts are required every other week and may exceed scheduling needs based on unit demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a NICU setting preferred.
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Additional Information

This position does not require on-call duties. Guaranteed hours may be subject to the facility's needs, which may allow for occasional shifts to be canceled.
