Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Nurse Navigator for a pediatric clinic specializing in GI and Pulmonary subspecialty phone triage and in-basket management.

Details

• Work in a pediatric clinic setting within a hospital's ambulatory tower with 24 exam rooms
• Non-patient-facing role focused on phone triage and in-basket management for established patients
• Covers GI and Pulmonary subspecialty diagnoses including constipation, reflux, EoE, IBD, Crohn's, celiac, asthma, bronchiolitis, vents/trachs, and cystic fibrosis
• Patient population is children and adolescents up to 18 years old
• Handles approximately 3,000 patient encounters per month
• Responsibilities include medication refills and provider paperwork requests
• 8-hour day shift schedule, 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM, 40 hours per week
• No weekend rotation, no on-call or call-back requirements
• No floating required
• Clinic closed for holidays

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years clinic experience required
• Peds, GI, and/or Pulmonary experience preferred but not required
• Ambulatory Epic EMR experience preferred
• Minimum 12 months core work experience in specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• One professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Supported by a Manager/Supervisor, MAs for patient rooming, and 3 other RN Navigators in the same office
• Uses laptop and Microsoft Teams for daily work
• Closely partnered with other RN Navigators for orientation throughout the contract
• Attends New Employee Orientation (NEO)
• Scrub color requirement: Royal Blue
• Free employee parking deck available
• Manager will conduct a final clinical interview
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Previously employed staff must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
