Key Responsibilities and Priorities: Safety is our number one priority. This role will promote safety culture through participation in the weekly safety toolbox talks. Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers Identify new sources of supply to develop supply chain competition Improve existing supplier’s performance Work with Planning on demand requirements and lead time expectations Work with Sales and Customer Service to ensure costs are competitive with our market competition Negotiate costs with suppliers utilizing available market information Identify and complete cost saving projects Ensure timely delivery through supply and carrier follow-ups Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Knowledge of supply chain management concepts Comfortable with ERP System Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong negotiation skills Ability to work effectively under pressure Years of Experience Required:2-4 years of experience in the field or related area Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field Certifications: CPIM Preferred REQUIREMENTS (Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands): Ability to work on a PC including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse for long periods throughout the course of the work day.
