Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Ensures utility specifications are followed.
• Coordinate with Management, General Forepersons and Program Coordinator.
• Assists in pre-inspect projects and develop recommended management plans, matching labor and equipment resources to work and cost estimates.
• Assists with maintaining accurate project circuit maps noting project status, crew locations and estimated completion dates.
• Inspect crews, start/stop times and identification of project locations.
• Assist with customer notifications and customer complaints.
• Assists preview and post work assignments and conduct with each General Foreperson.
• Coordinate activities with other General Forepersons working with the utility to ensure customer’s requirements are achieved.
• Respond to the needs of internal and external customers as needed.
• Respond and report any accident or incident in the field.
• Track and report daily; Safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and tardiness of field personnel, ensuring sign-in sheets are completed and filed.
• Assist with other project elements as directed by the Project Manager & Area Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have field experience as a General Foreperson
• Ability to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must have the ability to evaluate circuit conditions and hours required to complete required clearances to utility specifications.
• Must have computer knowledge including Microsoft Office (i.e.: Outlook, Excel and Word)
• Must be able to communicate with various levels of field and management personnel and write reports.

Education & Experience

• Must have prior experience as a General Foreman.
• Be able to provide proof of work experience.

Traveling Requirements

• Must be willing to travel in or out of state for emergency storm work.

Pre-Screen

• Upon hire, employees are required to complete and pass both a pre-employment drug screen and background and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:

• Valid Driver License is preferred or willingness to obtain valid CDL within 90 days of employment. If unable to obtain, please discuss this during the interview process.

• Rarely (less than 10%): Kneeling, Crawling, Pushing, and Pulling
• Occasionally (up to 33%): Sitting, Stooping, Squatting, Body Twisting, Sense of Touch, Color Vision, Climbing Ladders, Climbing Stairs, and Balancing
• Frequently (up to 66 %): Standing, Walking, Manual Dexterity, Seeing Distant, Climbing On/Off Truck, Gripping, Lifting Over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., Reading, Reaching, Range of Motion, Depth Perception, Carrying, Lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Continuously (up to 100%): Speaking Clearly, Seeing, and Hearing – Speech Rang

Safety

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous time a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate & handle confrontations professionally.
