Facility Manager Engineer

Summary: The position of Facility Manager/Engineer serves as the supervisor of the Facilities Management and Housekeeping for the Bad River Clinic and the Bad River Health and Wellness Center. The Facility Manager/Engineer is responsible for overseeing the equipment, buildings and grounds so as to provide a safe and functional environment for staff, patients and clients. The Housekeeping Department is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness of the Clinic and Health and Wellness Center. This position will start August 2024.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operation, testing and maintenance(scheduled and unscheduled) of all mechanical, electrical and security systems.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all building structures(interior and exterior), equipment and the respective grounds.
- Responsible for the supervision of the Facilities Staff and Housekeeping Staff including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Maintains schedule and reports regarding existing facility equipment conditions, Identifies deficiencies, develops and maintains an inspection schedule, replacement plan, secures funding and takes corrective action.
- Utilizes computer software applications to track, monitor, and maintain status of work orders, projects, actual costs, labor hours, materials, equipment run times, prevententive maintenance schedules, utilities and inventory.
- Will coordinate with Bad River Fire Chief and /or other tribal staff, the periodic inspection of the Clinic and Health and Wellness Center to detect safety hazards and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Will develop an annual operation and maintenance budget for the Clinic and Health and Wellness Center, reviewing budget on a monthly basis to ensure expenses are within budgeted expectations.
- Ordering Supplies and Materials to ensure inventory is fully stocked
- Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
Required Education:
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Associate Degree in Facilities Management or related field
Preferred Education:
BS degree in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field
Required Experience
3-5 years experience in the Facilities Management field, supervising staff, use and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and security systems.
2 years of experience operating and maintaining a swimming pool
Background Check:
Position is contingent on the applicant's ability to pass a background check is required.
This position is a required driver position, requiring a valid state driver's license, adequate vehicle/liability insurance and/or meet eligibility for Tribal insurance.
Language Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of computers and software, computer applications, and good typing skills
- Ability to work in diverse settings and communicate effectively with a broad range of related systems.
- Maintain strict compliance with Privacy Act requirements and Confidentiality Policy.
Reasoning Ability:
- Work requires creativity and experienced judgement in extending and developing new methods or approaches in solving a variety of facility problems.
- Ability to understand diverse complex technical work in the electronics and mechanical equipment.
