Registered Nurse – Med-Surg (Acute Care)
Location: Chariton, Iowa
Pay Rate: $65/hour
Education / Experience Requirements
- Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of 2 years acute care experience
- Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire
- Strong ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in Med-Surg setting
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely
- Monitor patient status and communicate with physicians and care teams
- Prioritize patient needs (physical, psychological, discharge planning)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies
- Coordinate care across shifts and departments for continuity
- Respond effectively in emergency situations
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism
- Participate in training, orientation, and in-services
- Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
