Quality Inspector CNC Machine Shop - Full Time/PART TIME

Benefits Competitive salary Flexible schedule About the Role WBM INC is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our CNC machine shop team full time in Wheeling, IL. Responsibilities Inspect CNC machined parts and components for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, and gauges Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T tolerances Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records Identify and communicate non-conforming parts to production and engineering teams Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components Requirements Prior experience in quality inspection within a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and CMM Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 quality management systems is a plus Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production teams High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred About Us WBM INC is a trusted precision machining company based in Wheeling, IL, known for delivering high-quality CNC machined components to a diverse range of industries.
