Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $30.32 - $39.42 / hour

Works closely with team members in the Marketing and Brand Management Department, as well as physicians and staff across the health system to develop and execute search engine optimization strategies that enhance the visibility and performance of Lee Healths branded websites and digital properties.

This role is responsible for researching, identifying, implementing, and optimizing organic search opportunities to improve discoverability, patient access, and digital engagement. The Senior SEO Specialist analyzes search behavior, monitors search performance, and provides strategic recommendations to improve rankings, increase qualified traffic, and support system growth initiatives.

This position partners closely with content specialists, digital marketing strategists, web developers, and external partners to ensure search best practices are integrated across digital experiences. The role focuses on establishing SEO standards, identifying optimization opportunities, and guiding the development of search-friendly content and site architecture that enhances the patient experience and supports long-term digital growth across evolving search environments, including AI-driven search experiences.

Education: Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, Advertising, or related field required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in search engine optimization, digital marketing, or related digital strategy roles supporting enterprise-level websites. Experience working with content management systems (CMS) preferred, i.e. WordPress or other. Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms such as BrightEdge, SEMrush, Screaming Frog or similar enterprise tools required.

Other: Strong understanding of search engine optimization principles including keyword strategy, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and search performance analysis. Demonstrated ability to analyze search data and identify opportunities for organic traffic growth and improved visibility. Experience conducting keyword research, competitive analysis, and search trend analysis to inform digital content and website strategies. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable optimization recommendations. Familiarity with website architecture, indexing, crawlability, metadata, and structured data best practices. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with content creators, developers, and marketing teams to improve digital search performance. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders across departments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical audiences. Self- motivated with the ability to independently identify optimization opportunities and recommend strategic improvements. Understanding of digital marketing channels and how organic search integrates with paid media, social, and content strategies. Knowledge of healthcare search behavior and digital patient journeys preferred. Ability to monitor industry trends, search algorithm updates, and emerging technologies impacting search visibility, including AI-driven search experiences. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend solutions that improve digital performance and patient access.
