Job Description
This role focuses on assembling, rebuilding, and reassembling low-mix, high-volume sub-assembly components by accurately interpreting diagrams and standardized work instructions. You will use hand and power tools to complete mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electronic assemblies while maintaining high quality through consistent self-inspection and adherence to established processes.
Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, rebuild, and reassembly of low-mix, high-volume sub-assembly components by following diagrams and standard work instructions.
• Safely operate cranes and hoists to lift and move materials throughout the facility in accordance with safety procedures.
• Assemble all components using the required hand tools and production devices in the correct sequence within the allocated takt time for each process.
• Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify proper functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
• Measure, examine, and test completed units using visual inspection and boundary samples to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies and respond appropriately to non-conforming material.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation related to quality and productivity within the manufacturing system.
• Complete all assigned tasks accurately and within established timelines while following standardized work procedures.
• Work in a safe and alert manner at all times, following all safety guidelines and practices.
• Notify leadership immediately in the event of abnormal situations, including unsafe occurrences, non-conforming material, or production equipment malfunctions, and follow the stop-call-wait procedure.
• Demonstrate a positive and professional work ethic, show respect for colleagues, and consistently uphold company core values.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing mechanical assembly using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, standardized work instructions, and basic production documentation.
• Ability to safely operate cranes and hoists to move materials within a manufacturing environment.
• Capability to inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functionality and conformance to specifications.
• Skill in identifying defects through visual inspection and comparison to boundary samples.
• Ability to rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies in response to non-conforming material.
• Ability to work safely and remain alert in a fast-paced production environment.
• Physical ability to stoop, bend, twist, turn, squat, reach, push, pull, grab, and grasp as required by the job.
• Ability to properly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Previous manufacturing or warehousing experience preferred.
• General mechanical aptitude and comfort working on an assembly line or in a production setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or assembly line environment.
• Familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electronic assemblies.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing setting.
• Exposure to blueprint reading or working from diagrams and standardized work instructions.
• Experience in general labor within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and productivity documentation.
• Professional attitude with a focus on respect, teamwork, and adherence to core values.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility focused on material handling and industrial equipment. You will work around production lines, cranes, hoists, and a variety of hand and power tools used for mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic assemblies. The role follows a first-shift schedule, typically 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The work is physically active and requires regular stooping, bending, twisting, turning, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, grabbing, and grasping, as well as safely lifting up to 50 pounds. You will work in an environment that prioritizes safety procedures, standardized work, and adherence to quality and productivity documentation.

This is a Permanent position based out of East Syracuse, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
