Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery

The Department of Neurological Surgery seeks a Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery to join the faculty of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Medical Staff of Montefiore Health System. The Chief will lead the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery and perform clinical, educational, research, and administrative duties under the Department Chair’s direction. Responsibilities include strategic planning, operational oversight, mentorship of junior faculty, collaboration with Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and other clinical departments, and promotion of the division’s services to the medical community and the public.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MD, have completed a residency in neurological surgery, and hold an approved fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery. ABNS Board‑eligible or Board‑certified status and an unrestricted New York Medical License are required. Fellowship‑trained candidates are preferred.

The ideal candidate has 5–15 years of practice, demonstrates excellence in developing an academic clinical practice, and leads teams to successful outcomes. Candidates with research experience will be supported based on track record and career goals.

Compensation: $750,000–$1,000,000 per year plus benefits including a 403(b) with match, LTD, STD, malpractice cover, and more.
