About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an established organization to identify a Senior Tax Accountant to join its corporate tax team.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a variety of corporate tax functions, including federal and state income tax compliance, tax provisions, estimated payments, and tax research.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate income taxation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from public accounting or a corporate tax department who is looking to further develop their technical expertise while gaining exposure to a broad range of tax responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and review of federal and multi-state corporate income tax returns.

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
\n
• Calculate federal and state estimated income tax payments.
\n
• Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers related to book-to-tax differences.
\n
• Perform tax account reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
\n
• Research federal and state tax regulations to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
\n
• Assist with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities.
\n
• Collaborate with internal accounting and finance teams to gather information needed for tax filings and reporting.
\n
• Support the preparation of additional tax filings, including sales and use tax, personal property tax, and other applicable returns.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency.
\n
• Participate in special projects and additional tax-related initiatives as needed.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\n
• 3+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax environment.
\n
• Experience with federal and state corporate income tax compliance.
\n
• Familiarity with quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
\n
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with tax preparation or reporting software.
\n
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader finance and accounting team.

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• CPA certification or progress toward obtaining a CPA.
\n
• Experience supporting multi-state tax filings.
\n
• Exposure to corporate tax provisions and ASC 740.
\n
• Experience with tax research and process improvement initiatives.
\n
