Maintenance Supervisor | Food Processing | Helm, CA $90,000 to $115,000 + Annual Incentive Plan | Full-Time | Onsite Are you the kind of maintenance leader who knows the names of your techs' kids, can walk a line and hear what's wrong before the HMI tells you, and still wants to get better every year? We'd like to talk with you. We are partnering with a respected, privately held global food and agriculture company to find a Maintenance Supervisor for its processing plant in Helm, California. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment running, keeping people safe, and building a team that trusts each other. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of hourly maintenance technicians, including performance reviews, development plans, and corrective action when needed. Plan and schedule daily work assignments and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production moving. Manage crew schedules, time off, and time cards, and delegate work fairly and effectively. Serve as the go-to resource for troubleshooting across pumps, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, electrical, and instrumentation. Review and audit safe work permits and equipment isolation (LOTO) procedures. Lead Job Safety Analyses and safety orientations for employees and contractors. Maintain spare parts inventory through purchasing requisitions and stock item management. Recommend equipment modifications, upgrades, and process improvements to plant leadership. Coordinate on-the-job training for new hires and cross-training for the whole team. Keep maintenance procedures, equipment files, work orders, incident reports, and shift reports accurate and current. What You Bring 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or processing environment, including prior supervisory experience. Strong working knowledge of processing equipment and plant systems (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation). A bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial, or electrical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience. Proven experience counts here. Solid communication skills, from the shop floor to plant leadership, both verbal and written. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). JD Edwards experience is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable attendance. Willingness to work extended hours, off-shifts, and weekends when operations require it.
