Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and proactive Mechanic's Helper to support the maintenance and smooth operation of our laundry plant. This role ensures our equipment, tools, and facilities remain safe, functional, and well-organized. The ideal candidate is hands-on, observant, and eager to learn. They communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and take initiative to solve problems while following safety procedures.

Position Details Schedule: Sunday night through Friday morning, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. This is an overnight schedule with five shifts per week. Compensation: Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. After successful completion of the 90-day introductory period, pay increases to $21.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with maintenance and basic repairs of industrial laundry equipment Support the Lead Engineer in inspections and troubleshooting Maintain tools, parts, and workspaces in an organized and accessible way Help with facility tasks such as painting, patching, and minor repairs Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance protocols Support the operations team to keep machinery and systems running efficiently

Requirements

Basic ability to read and write Strong observation and communication skills Comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment Reliable and responsible work habits Willingness to learn mechanical skills and take on new tasks Positive attitude and strong team mindset

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs Comfortable around industrial equipment, noise, and moving machinery Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
