Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Tampa, Florida
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center at Fletcher in Tampa, Florida. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
About the Role:
As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to provide high-quality patient care and support. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, such as dressing, grooming, and feeding, to promote independence and self-care.
• Therapy Implementation: Implement occupational therapy interventions and programs, including exercises, activities, and strategies, to achieve patient goals.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient progress, treatment plans, and any changes in patient condition.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
• Education: Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Certification: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification in the state of Florida.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a COTA in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
