Sr Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid in IGH, MN

Duration: Temp - 18 months

We are seeking a Sr Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, data visualization, and data quality and a proven ability to design, build, and integrate scalable data solutions that support analytics and business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust data models, pipelines, and integrations using SQL and APIs.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports with Power BI or similar tools.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable technical plans.
• Ensure data quality, governance alignment, and reliable observability across datasets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data visualization, data engineering, data quality, or related roles.
• Proficiency with Power BI or similar visualization tools and strong data analysis skills.
• Practical experience with SQL, API development, data modeling, and system integration.
• Clear communication and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to create actionable plans when requirements are not well-defined.
• Ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Collaborative orientation with a service mindset and support for colleagues.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Receptive to guidance and feedback with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Eagerness to contribute to a growing team with innovative ideas and a positive attitude.

Preferred Skills:

• Agile and Scrum practices; Azure DevOps; data modeling.
• Generative AI and LLMs; Python; Snowflake.
• Alation or similar data catalog tools; SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Experience on corporate data quality or data governance teams.
