Sr. UX UI Designer

Advance Auto Parts is currently looking for a talented Sr. UX UI Designer who is passionate about building/designing great products with great user experiences for mobile, tablet and desktop platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge and understanding of user experience with the ability to deliver high fidelity assets of: wire frames, user flows, one pagers, as well as new features and products while collaborating well with designers, developers, business owners and analytics professionals.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in meeting for project research, planning to execution of design assets.
• Work on user experience workflow diagrams as well as designs that visually tell a story in an ecommerce space.
• Strategize and collaborate with: designers, developers, business owners, and analytics professionals.
• Understand the business and marketing challenges of executing UX concepts and/or visual ideas.
• Design user-friendly and engaging content that follow best in class web standard and accessibility compliance standards.
• Driven by decisions toward measurable results and aligning UX designs/experiences to company goals.
• Oversee and follow industry trends, processes, and standards while mentoring other designers.
• Help lead in understanding personas and customer journey map designs that tell the story.
• Work closely with the development teams to ensure that your UI solutions are effectively implemented
• Strong experience building multiple UI component and asset libraries for cross-team reuse.
• Validate assumptions with data that will guide design solutions.
• Collaborating with PMs, clients, and other members of the team to identify user needs and product specifications.
• Design prototypes, wireframes, animations, and other visuals with different levels of fidelity
• Translate user needs, style guides, and business objectives into elegant client experiences through visual artifacts: journey maps, prototypes, site maps, user flows, storyboards, etc.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate complex, human-centered design / interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
• Create hypotheses, set research objectives, and work with teams in reaching a conclusion and plan for new UX/UI execution.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research while analyzing available materials, case studies, traffic/usage insights, industry reports to UX global company indicatives.

Technical Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Visual Communications, web design, information technology or other related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on design communications experience.
• A strong portfolio showcasing interface design experience that communicates the UX process / story.
• Mobile first design (Experience designing for desktop, tablet, mobile presentations.)
• Strong attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience and/or knowledge of designing for accessibility complacencies.
• Excellent presentation and moderator skills.
• Experience creating clear user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for user interfaces.
• Experience with a solid knowledge of UI design patterns with passion focused on usability and modern experiences.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile environment.
