OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Program Specialist. The Incumbent under the direction of an assigned manager, assist with the duties required of the program coordinator. Perform a variety of highly complex and technical paraprofessional duties. Coordinate and oversee office activities of assigned function; train and provide work direction to others as assigned. Current Vacancy: Grossmont College

Type of position: Full-Time Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. May include occasional evening hours during the academic year due to evening events and may require extended weekday and Saturday morning hours at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. June and July Summer 4/10: Summer hours follow a 4/10 (four days, ten hours) schedule

Salary: Range CL-34

$26.97 - $33.72 Hourly

$4,674 - $5,845 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)

Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($26.97 per hour) or B ($28.52 per hour) on the salary schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Art/Science Degree in Business Communication, or MIS, or related information analyst/systems management. Or Associates Degree with 4 years increasingly responsible office/records management experience. VETERAN'S POINTS:

  • Veterans not previously employed by the District, with 30 days or more of military service who become eligible for appointment by attaining the passing mark established for the examination, shall be allowed an additional credit of five (5) points and disabled veterans shall be allowed an additional credit of ten (10) points, which shall be added to the percentages attained in the examinations by the veterans.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS:

  • The assessment process for this position may include any combination of the following:
