About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting patient histories.
• Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a physician.
• Coordinate patient care and assist with scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Support the overall operations of the pediatric practice, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Requirements:

• Current LPN license or certification as a Medical Assistant in Louisiana.
• Experience in pediatrics or a similar healthcare setting is required. No exceptions!
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for pediatric care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Current CPR certification and knowledge of first aid procedures.
