General Summary - Assists and supports in the coordination of community and workforce education activities in the assigned geographic area of the Grand Island campus. Community and workforce education activities consist of, but not limited to, developing, staffing, managing, marketing, and evaluating community education programming activities; on-campus youth programming and youth camps; development of workshops for intra-college purposes; development, organization, and marketing of conferences, seminars, and workshops on various topics of concern to the constituents of our area. Performs necessary community and workforce education functions in Elevate to include entering class information to up the Web catalog, general section and program instances, creating new students, registering, and withdrawing students, integrating Elevate student and enrollment data with Colleague, tracking class expenditures and revenue, processing payments, checking for duplicates, generating rosters and communicating with students. Management of the Pearson Vue testing center on the Grand Island campus. Serves as Pearson Vue test administrator on campus and at the Hall County jail. Responsible for maintenance of Pearson Vue computers and working with other centers/campuses on delivery issues and questions. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures.
Essential Functions - Recruits, hires, trains, directs, supervises, and evaluates the performance of approximately 60 community education adjunct instructional staff and contractors related to community education and youth programming. Manages personnel on-site and at a distance.
Essential Functions - Supervises development and/or modification of curriculum and instructional materials, using technology and following current instructional methodology.
Essential Functions - Assists with grant proposals related to community education.
Essential Functions - Develops, supervises, implements and commits budget expenditures related to community education programming and marketing/instructional materials. Negotiates with presenters, contractors and vendors for delivery of community education programming.
Essential Functions - Directs and implements the community education marketing campaigns; develops marketing ideas, designs marketing materials, and maintains student marketing databases. Possesses working knowledge of desktop publishing design software to develop promotional and marketing materials for community education events: i.e., tabloids, brochures, flyers, newspaper ads, signs, and posters, and coordinates with local printing companies for printing orders. Develops and maintains relationships with local and regional radio and television media contacts.
Essential Functions - Performs community outreach through presentations and meetings with civic organizations. Develops and conducts needs assessments to identify educational needs of individuals, groups, organizations and communities in the assigned geographic region.
Essential Functions - Plans, directs and coordinates class/workshop/youth programming logistics, including securing presenters, establishing budgets, negotiation of charges, determining schedule and location, transportation, and providing instructional/presenter needs: evaluation and reporting of results to internal and external audiences.
Essential Functions - Provides administrative direction for Community Education. Represents the Grand Island Campus community education program at local, regional, and State meetings. Coordinates with other Community Education Coordinators. Develops short-, intermediate- and long-term community education plans.
Essential Functions - Maintains a comprehensive understanding of CCC administrative, academic, and student procedures and policies. Facilitates delivery of student support to on and off campus community education students. Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the community education field.
Essential Functions - Coordinates preregistration and registration of conferences, workshops, and classes: including attending pre-conference meetings, determining equipment needs, and preparation of materials.
Essential Functions - Set up sections and look up student information in college software. Produce computer generated documents related to student status and class rosters.
