Accounting & Payroll SpecialistBob Barker Company is looking for a self-motivated Accounting & Payroll Specialist to manage company payroll and general accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process bi-weekly payrolls.Prepare and process monthly and quarterly Incentive Program payrolls.Maintain monthly and quarterly Incentive Program metrics.Ensure timely response and resolution of payroll related issues and questions.Import all payroll data and accruals to the general ledger.Prepare journal entries and post to general ledger; Reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts.Partner with People Support to ensure any payroll changes and updates are accurate.Stay on top of local, state, and federal laws relating to payroll.Reconcile quarterly payroll taxes.Filing of company sales & use tax.File business licenses and annual reports.Manage company credit card program.Assist with month-end close.Assist with payroll and accounting audits.Support accounting team with special projects or assignments.QualificationsAssociates or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.At least 5 years' payroll and accounting experience.Knowledge of payroll policies and basic accounting procedures including month-end close.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.Ability to learn and effectively utilize various software applications.UKG & NetSuite experience preferred.Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Attention to detail.CompensationBase salary of $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience and qualifications plus participation in our monthly Get Paid Incentive Program.
