Senior Director of Information Security (CISO)

You’ll work with talented peers around the world, grow alongside a team that loves to learn, and be trusted with the autonomy to make a measurable impact on a mission that matters: closing the technology skills gap.What you’ll doSet and maintain the vision, strategy, architecture, and program that protect our information assets across corporate and productMake sure Pluralsight meets all applicable federal and state laws, policies, and client requirements for securing informationStay on top of changing security regulations, technology, and threats, and turn what you learn into clear policies, procedures, and security plansMonitor how well the organization follows security regulations, policies, and procedures, and set objectives that drive continuous improvementLead regular independent third-party audits of our security, and develop, test, and improve our business continuity and disaster recovery programDeliver the security reports and assessments required by regulators and our clientsWhat you’ll bringExperience with our core security tools and platforms, such as AWS, Splunk, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, and CiscoA track record of turning complex regulations into practical policies that teams can followA passion for operational rigor and a drive to keep refining processesComfort working in a fast-paced environment and embracing the challenges of transformationA collaborative leadership style that builds trust, welcomes diverse perspectives, and makes sure every voice is heardA customer-first mindset and a habit of asking, “Is this the best way to do it?”Requirements12 years of experience within information security, including 8 years of people leadership experienceExperience leading a company-wide information security programExpert-level knowledge of information security architecture, information security technologies, systems design, integration of systems, and networkingDeep understanding of information security regulations, including (not limited to): Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and Protected Health Information (PHI), and various other laws and regulations including Executive OrdersExcellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with information technology professionals as well as senior management and auditors, assessors, and inspectorsTravel: Travel expectations differ by role. Some quota-bearing sales positions involve limited travel, while others may involve travel of up to 40%, depending on business needs.This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.
