Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Telemetry

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg Telemetry team. In this role, you will provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of conditions, contributing to their recovery and well-being within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and manage telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Participate in unit meetings and contribute to team development.
• Occasionally float to other units as required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Experience in telemetry nursing is essential.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Preferred experience as a preceptor or in a charge nurse role.

Unit Information

• 40-bed unit focused on telemetry and surgical patients.
• Typical patient population includes total joint patients, those undergoing surgery, and patients with acute on chronic medical conditions.
• Utilizes electronic health record platform for streamlined documentation.

Dress Code

Scrubs in black are required, and open shoes are not permitted.

Work Schedule

This position offers a full-time schedule with shifts of 3x12 hours per week, along with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period.
