Radiology - CT Tech

CT/X-Ray TechnologistThis position requires a CT/X-ray technologist with a high proficiency in both specialties. Traveler must be capable of completing all routine diagnostic procedures. The technologist will position patients on the examining table and adjust immobilization devices as needed to obtain optimum views of the specified body area requested by the physician. Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment must be moved into specified positions, and equipment controls must be adjusted to set exposure factors such as time and distance. The technologist will operate film processing equipment as well as mobile radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment in the operating room, emergency room, or at the patient's bedside. Practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff is essential. Candidates should be able to prioritize and organize daily workflow efficiently. Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills are required. Basic computer skills are necessary. The dress code includes hospital blue scrubs (provided), business casual with a lab coat, and basic plain personal scrubs. Closed-toe shoes such as sneakers or clogs are required. Hair should be worn pulled back if longer than shoulder length, and dangling earrings are not permitted. All requests for time off during the course of the assignment must be noted and verified at the time of submission. Travelers may not take all holidays off and must be available to work during specified holiday periods.Experience: 2+ years current CT Tech experience in a hospital setting, 2+ years current X-Ray Tech experience in a hospital settingLicense: New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Clienttion Therapy LicenseCertifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active American Registration of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Must-Have: High proficiency in both CT and X-Ray specialties Experience with fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR c-arm Experience with all age groups Traveler must have their own vehicle
