Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty required License: Active RN license in the state or compact license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: - Level I Trauma experience required - Previous travel experience required - Large hospital experience required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry for a night shift position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will work within a team, maintaining a nursing ratio of 1:7. Team nursing will be employed, with higher ratios assisted by PCC, RN, etc. First-time travelers will not be considered unless they have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience. On-call duties may be required as needed. Weekend work may be required on a rotational basis. Block scheduling is not available, but weekend blocks may be considered. Local travelers within 100 miles will not be accepted; this policy is strictly enforced. Pending licenses will not be accepted; all travelers must comply with NLC guidelines. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. Requests for time off will not be considered after the offer has been made. Travelers must be willing to work during end-of-year holidays. If holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays. Travelers must have completed at least one previous travel assignment. Cerner experience is preferred. RNs may float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, although floating between campuses will be rare. Candidates are required to meet all stated qualifications to be considered.
