Onboarding Specialist

Onboarding Specialist – Health & Human Services Location: Beatrice, NE. Pay: $17.608 – $27.577 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Responsibilities Perform onboarding activities: conduct background checks, schedule physicals, drug screens, fingerprints, and track progress. Review completed background checks for accuracy and draft new hire communications. Process HR transactions and documents for hiring and personnel records, files, and reports. Communicate effectively with candidates, employees, and stakeholders at all levels. Create forms and templates to facilitate the onboarding process. Assist in ensuring a seamless new hire experience as part of the Talent Acquisition team. Maintain a professional demeanor and strong computer skills. Qualifications Minimum: One year coursework or training in personnel management, business administration, public administration, office/administrative, or two years related experience. Preferred: Experience with computerized systems to collect, review and process information; experience with Human Resource Information Systems for onboarding; basic Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel). Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to think creatively and identify process improvement opportunities. Ability to work independently with confidential information, learning labor contracts, rules, regulations, and DHHS policies. Reliability, responsibility, and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
