Take that important step up in your career!Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner(PMHNP) - Responsibilities (In-person)Conduct live and interactive clinical assessments of patients, providing treatment protocols, prescribing or recommending behavioral medications and providing medication managementProvide behavioral and talk therapy to our patientsCoordinate care with family members and staff at skilled nursing facilitiesWork closely with our collaborating psychiatrists where required by state law or independently but within an interdisciplinary team including other PMHNPs, psychologists, clinical pharmacists, and physiciansComplete patient notes in our Electronic Health Records systemProvide in-service education at facilities; participate in staff meetings as neededProvide consultation to facility staff on behavioral interventions, nursing practice, and psychopharmacology including writing orders for medications, as appropriateParticipate in case reviews, consultations and utilization reviewRespond to urgent calls from the facility and facilitate problem-solvingStay current on telehealth issues and legislationPsychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner(PMHNP) - QualificationsAdvanced practice nursing degree from an accredited universityValid PMHNP certificationUnrestricted license in the state at least one state in which MTC Care practicesDEA certificateAble to meet the credentialing requirements of MTC Care and your assigned facilitiesAble to become credentialed with Medicare and Medicaid, and other payers as necessaryGeriatric and/or psychiatric experience preferredDemonstrated ability to work on a computer using the Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft excel and MTC Care's Electronic Health Record systemAbout Us MTC Care is the industry leader in providing exceptional behavioral health services to patients residing in skilled nursing and assisted living communities.
