How you'll contribute As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provide direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication and document patient care given. Assist RN with development of plan of care. Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation. Monitor, document and communicate patient’s status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient and families. Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider. Obtain insurance re‑authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures. What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current Tennessee or compact state LPN license and be a graduate of a Practical Nursing program. Additional requirements include: Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Licenses: LPN License for the State of Tennessee. Education: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
