Litigation Paralegal – St. Augustine’s Largest Law Firm

St. Johns Law Group is the largest law firm in the St. Augustine area, with 14 attorneys and 300+ years of combined legal experience. Our growing firm represents individuals, businesses, property owners, associations, developers, and families throughout Northeast Florida, including St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, St. Johns, and Palm Coast.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Litigation Paralegal to join our team in St. Augustine. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and wants to work alongside experienced trial attorneys handling complex and challenging matters.

Position Overview

The Litigation Paralegal will play a key role in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client service.

Depending on experience and background, the position may involve work in commercial litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, personal injury, HOA and condominium disputes, probate litigation, business disputes, family law, or appellate matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation files from intake through resolution
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, notices, discovery requests, and responses
• Coordinate and manage document production and document review
• Conduct legal and factual research
• Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and case analyses
• Assist with trial preparation, exhibit management, witness coordination, and courtroom support
• Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation events
• Monitor court deadlines and maintain case calendars
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, and vendors
• Assist attorneys with case strategy, settlement preparation, and mediation materials
• Support electronic filing in Florida state and federal courts

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience preferred
• Strong experience with litigation procedures, court rules, and case management
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
• Paralegal degree, certificate, or equivalent legal experience required
• Florida litigation experience strongly preferred
• Trial preparation experience is a significant plus
