Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s new competitive Pharmacy Technician salary range starts at $17.00 per hour for Registered Techs and $22.00 per hour for Certified Techs, and increases for candidates with prior Pharmacy Technician experience. **Sign on bonus: $2,500 for registered technicians, $5,000 for certified. Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices. Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines (ADMs) and/or robots (example: shelves, carousels, Parata). Communicates supply issues, problems or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel. Inpatient Only: Prepares or compounds non-sterile, non-antineoplastic drug products in accordance with USP chapter under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Outpatient Only: Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist. Take verbal orders from providers, runs registers, performs production and data entry production. Processes third party claims. Qualifications Registered Technicians: Be at least 16 years of age Have a high school or equivalent diploma, or be working to achieve a high school or equivalent diploma 2 years of customer service experience preferred (Outpatient Pharmacy only) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required within 9 months from date of hire. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy. Ability to multitask and attention to detail. Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations. Certified Technicians: Associates degree in a health or related field, (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred. Required Licensure/Certifications Registered Technicians: - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required.
