Customer Service Representative

Monday – Friday 8am-5pm (some flexibility on start/end time) We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team and become a trusted resource for customers. This is a highly consultative role where you’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, and vendors to find the right materials at the right price and manage each order from quote through delivery. We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist who enjoys building strong customer relationships, solving problems, and taking ownership from start to finish. This is a relationship-driven position where you’ll work with customers, vendors, and suppliers to find solutions, provide competitive pricing, and ensure each order is handled seamlessly through delivery. Customers reach out when they need assistance, and you’ll serve as their go-to resource, understanding what they need, finding the right solution, and managing the entire process from the initial request through completion. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in a highly specialized and technical product line. The ideal candidate is sharp, detail-oriented, naturally curious, and willing to learn. You don’t need to know everything on day one, you need the ability and desire to learn, ask the right questions, and become an expert over time. There is ZERO cold calling in this role. Customers come to you when they need help finding materials their traditional suppliers cannot provide, making this position all about building relationships, understanding customer needs, and finding solutions. What You’ll Do: Serve as the primary point of contact for an established customer base Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships Listen to customers’ needs and determine the exact materials and specifications required Research and source products through a proprietary software system and established supplier networkI> Shop multiple suppliers to identify the best availability and pricing Request and compare RFQs from 2–3 qualified suppliers Prepare detailed quotes and present pricing to customers Manage the entire process from the initial quote through order processing, purchasing, and delivery Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure orders are accurate and delivered on time Communicate with customers throughout the process and resolve any issues that arise Develop a strong understanding of a highly technical product line and industry terminology Become a trusted resource and problem-solver for customers when their traditional suppliers cannot meet their needs What We’re Looking For: 1+ year of experience in account management, inside sales, customer service, or a similar customer-facing role involving a physical product Strong relationship-building and communication skills Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work with technical specifications, product numbers, and detailed quotes Sharp, analytical, and eager to learn a complex product line Strong problem-solving and follow-through skillsAbility to manage multiple customer requests, quotes, and vendor relationships simultaneously ISO certification (ideally ISO 9001 or ISO 9002) is preferred, not required What Makes This Opportunity Different?
