A well-established suburban law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney to join its growing estate planning group. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a solid foundation in estate planning and at least two years of relevant experience to grow professionally within a firm respected for its work in the field.

About the Position

\n

You will work closely with a senior partner on a wide variety of matters, including estate planning, trust and estate administration, and probate proceedings. You will have the opportunity to handle complex, meaningful matters from start to finish in a collaborative environment.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Manage trust and estate administration matters from start to finish
\n
• Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including tax minimization, creditor protection, and long-term family goals
\n
• Prepare federal gift tax returns and federal and state estate tax returns
\n
• Represent clients in probate proceedings and guide them through the process
\n
• Draft a wide range of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
\n
• Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in Trusts & Estates law
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Minimum of two years of experience in Trusts & Estates law, including estate planning, trust administration, and probate
\n
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
\n
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois
\n
• Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centered mindset
\n
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
\n
