About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Must have Level I trauma experience. - Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance. - Must have strong IV skills. - Must pass a skills lab on Day 1 of orientation. - Must be competent in sterile field maintenance. Description: The position is for a registered nurse in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. Travelers will float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed. The patient ratio on telemetry units is 4:1. High acuity cases will be present, including cardiac surgery recovery and various complex procedures. The unit requires strong IV skills, as there is no dedicated IV team on-site. Nurses will participate in bedside procedures and manage patients with advanced devices. The role includes a commitment to weekend shifts as per the schedule. High-level communication and teamwork are essential, as there will be collaboration across care teams. The environment is fast-paced, with an emphasis on critical care and patient safety. Additional educational opportunities will be available for various equipment and protocols specific to the unit.
