Plant Manager

Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a Plant Manager. This role is onsite at our Amarillo, TX facility. Relocation within the United States is provided. Built in 1981, the Amarillo facility, with approximately 150 team members, is a thriving iron foundry that serves our customers with a variety of parts, including conduits, covers and fittings. The expected annual salary range for this role is $146,000 - $215,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: Set overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with the Eaton Business System (EBS) including Eaton Lean System, OpA, MESH, PROLaunch and MMA. Ensure the plant complies with all safety regulations and standards and proactively champion a culture focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS). Coordinate and direct through managers all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Mfg Engineering, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, OpEx, Human Resources and Finance. Emphasize utilization of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools (Kaizen, VSM, 5S+) to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable, measurable plans. Create a culture of exceeding customer expectations, ensuring that the organization is highly responsive to customer needs and issues. Be accountable for day‑to‑day decisions that directly impact the safety, quality, on‑time delivery, efficiency, and profitability of the overall plant and identify areas for improvement that align with business objectives. Maintain a workforce of highly motivated and engaged employees and drive compliance to the ethics policy by holding others accountable for ethical conduct. Attract, select, develop, train, coach, appraise and motivate the workforce to drive talent management and development strategies. Assure timely and relevant communications and establish systems that enhance intra- and inter‑departmental communications. Assure that collective bargaining agreements are effectively administered. Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum ten (10) years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, OPEX and/or related support functions in a manufacturing environment. Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing leadership experience. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a Plant Manager. Technical degree. MS or MBA degree. Skills: Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively and confidently communicate ideas, concepts, and programs to all levels of the organization. Demonstrated success in providing leadership to employees in a constantly changing environment. Must be able to effectively and confidently communicate and coordinate project assignments with employees, customers and suppliers at all levels of their respective organizations.
