Job Description

Security Guard (Unarmed)

Be the person others can count on

At IronGate Private Security, Inc., a security guard’s work matters. Clients trust us to protect their property, and teammates trust each other to show up ready for every shift. We are looking for people who take that responsibility seriously.

You do not need to be the loudest person on site. You do need to be dependable, observant, professional, and willing to follow through. If you take pride in arriving on time, staying engaged, and doing the job well even when no one is watching, we want to hear from you.

• Arrive on time, in uniform, and ready to work for every assigned shift.
• Maintain a visible, professional presence at your assigned property.
• Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle, as required by the assignment.
• Observe activity, identify concerns, and respond within your training and post orders.
• Complete required patrol checkpoints, daily activity reports, and incident reports accurately and on time.
• Communicate promptly with supervisors about incidents, coverage issues, and anything that may affect the assignment.
• Treat clients, residents, visitors, and coworkers with respect.
• Remain at your post until properly relieved or directed by a supervisor.

Dependability is essential. Our clients expect coverage when we say we will provide it. That means keeping your commitments, planning ahead for your shift, and giving prompt notice when a genuine issue arises.

Stay engaged. Security work requires attention, even during quiet hours. Follow the post orders, complete your patrols, and document what you observe.

Communicate early and clearly. If something is wrong, report it. If you need help, ask. Supervisors should never have to guess whether a post is covered or an incident has been handled.

Take ownership of your work. Your reports, conduct, and decisions represent IronGate. We value people who accept feedback, correct mistakes, and keep improving.

• Current California security guard registration.
• Ability to meet the schedule and duties of the assigned post.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use a smartphone or mobile app for timekeeping, checkpoints, and reports.
• Sound judgment and the ability to remain professional under pressure.
• Reliable transportation to assigned work locations.

Prior security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or property management experience is helpful, but a strong record of dependability and a willingness to learn matter just as much.

IronGate is a locally owned security company built on Integrity, Protection, and Safety . We provide post specific direction, supervisor support, and training opportunities. We recognize guards who consistently show up, communicate, and take pride in protecting the people and properties entrusted to us.
