About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Newborn Nursery / Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Vicksburg, MS | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Newborn Nursery and Labor & Delivery unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and assess newborn and maternal patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mississippi or compact state eligibility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a relevant setting
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Mother/baby skill set with hands-on experience in newborn nursery or L&D care
• Prior travel nursing experience in a similar specialty
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
