Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the transport supervisor and nursing leadership team, transports patients to and from all Radiology modalities using carts, wheelchairs, and beds. Generally assists technologists/nurses in moving patients to exam tables and ensures communication forms are filled out completely by all staff. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.


Required Education and Training: Must demonstrate EKG competency.


Experience: 1-2 years acute care experience desirable.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Performs procedures safely and accurately within the standards of practice. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professional with all internal and external customers.


Degree of Supervision Required: Involves general guidance and direction by transport supervisor and radiology leadership. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.


Orientation Period: Minimum of 1 week contingent upon experience. Extensive orientation may be required and will be determined by manager.
