Universal Sheet Metal is looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our shop team. No experience is necessary — we are willing to train the right person! Previous construction, sheet metal, fabrication, warehouse, or shop experience is a plus.
Position Details
- Starting Pay: $19.00/hour, DOE (Depending on Experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Overtime: Available; occasionally mandatory
- Position: Full-Time
Job Duties
Duties may include:
- Assisting with sheet metal fabrication and shop production
- Operating basic shop tools and equipment after training (ex: press brake, spot welder, accupress, soldering)
- Measuring, cutting, bending, and preparing materials
- Loading and unloading materials
- Organizing materials and maintaining a clean work area
- Assisting other shop employees as needed
- Following company safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Good work ethic and positive attitude
- Able to work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting and being on your feet throughout the shift
- Able to work overtime when required
- Sheet metal, construction, fabrication, or similar experience is a bonus, but not required
