About the Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 3400 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104
Schedule: Days | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system required
• Previous travel nursing and/or contract nursing experience required
• Every other weekend (EOW) required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients in the ICU.
• Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC EMR system.

Additional Notes

• Requests for Time Off (RTO) must allow the clinician to work all three scheduled shifts each week throughout the contract.
• Candidate must be able to meet all scheduling requirements for the duration of the assignment.
