We are performing a search for a Controller with 8 plus years of experience for a small but fast growing technology company in Downtown Washington DC. This is an on-site work environment but right next to a metro stop. This individual will be responsible for setting up and growing the accounting department. Public accounting experience is a big plus. Strong system skills required. Salary around 170k plus bonus. If interested please contact me at View email address on click.appcast.io Responsibilities: Oversee the organization’s general ledger, reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparing accurate and timely financial statements. Lead initiatives to enhance and streamline accounting processes, particularly focusing on improving reconciliations and optimizing the month-end close cycle. Manage the revenue process, including oversight of AR and ASC 606 revenue recognition. Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are completed accurately for both internal and external reporting. Draft technical memos on complex accounting issues and assist in implementing solutions that align with regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and cost-saving efficiencies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
