About the Position

Job Title: Neuro RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 Years Required; First-time travelers with strong Neuro ICU experience accepted. License: Active state RN license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI and NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: Every other weekend required. Holiday coverage as scheduled is required. Floating within the specialty may be required, including lower acuity as needed. On-call may be required. Description: Looking for a Neuro RN to work night shifts in the Neurotrauma ICU. The contract length is for 13 weeks. The shift schedule is three nights a week from 19:00 to 07:30. Common diagnoses include acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, and traumatic brain injury. You will be caring for adults and geriatrics. The average daily census is 21 patients with a staffing ratio of 1:2, increasing to 1:3 for stable, lower acuity patients. Special equipment in use includes ICP monitors, external ventricular drains, and mechanical ventilators. Candidates should be comfortable floating within the scope without restrictions or special requests. You may also be required to participate in on-call rotation. Weekends and holidays will be scheduled as required. All compliance documents must be completed in a timely manner. Certifications like CPI, BLS, ACLS are essential for this role.
