About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Computed Tomography Duration: 20 weeks Shift: 4 x 9 hour shifts, plus call Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in CT and X-ray License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have: - Experience with CT and X-ray imaging - Willingness to learn and perform EKGs - Ability to ask questions and adapt to new situations - Open to first-time travelers Description: Candidates must have at least two years of experience in CT and X-ray. They must be willing to learn and perform EKGs. Candidates should be open to asking questions and adapting to new situations. Experience with common types of imaging performed includes general X-ray, extremities, spines, and chest. CT imaging includes strokes, trauma, CTA, and AAA dissection. Travelers are not required to have experience in Dexa. There is no Fluoro, arthrograms, or Barium performed. Equipment used includes Cannon Aquillon Prime SP for CT and Carestream for X-ray. Variable start times are from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with the last clock-out at 5:30 PM. Scheduling is managed by the department manager. Weekend call requirements involve one weekend shift per month, starting Friday at 5:30 PM to Monday at 7:00 AM. Call or standby duty includes weeknight call approximately once per week, starting at 5:30 PM. Response time should be within 20 minutes to ensure timely arrival. Meal, room, and board are provided while on call. Cancellation policy allows for one shift cancellation per week. Charting system used is MEDITECH. BSN is not required. This position is in an acute care setting. The role is part of the Allied division. There are no 12-hour shifts available for this position. Weekend and call requirements are applicable as part of the job.
